Fresky, ktoré boli dlhé roky ukryté v podkroví Kostola Nanebovzatia Panny Márie v Krušovciach, poukazujú na  stredovekú hodnotu. Súčasné výskumy stotožňujú miestne nástenné maľby s ilustráciou legendy svätého Ladislava. Tým sa potvrdzuje, že kult svätého kráľa rozkvitol aj v severnej časti Uhorska. Freska zo 14.storočia predstavuje triumf rytierskeho ideálu. Jeho rozšírenie úzko súviselo s požiadavkami reprezentovania patróna: znázornenie rytierskeho kráľa znamenalo modernizáciu predošlých dekorácií. Veľkoplošná freska môže byť jednou z najmonumentálnejších spomienok rytierskej kultúry nitrianskeho regiónu.

For a long time in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Krušovce only the frescoes hidden in the attic part suggested the importance of the medieval values of the building. The recently discovered fresco that can be identified with the scene of the legend of Saint Ladislaus revealed that this subject existed in the western parts of Upper Hungary as well (present-day Slovakia). The 14th-century fresco represented the triumph of the knightly ideal and its spread was closely related to the representation needs of the village’s patron: the depiction of the knight king meant the modernization of the earlier decoration. The vast fresco can be one of the most colossal monuments of the Nitra region’s knightly culture.
